Kindergarten's Exploration of Texture: Part 3

Our exploration of texture continues with texture rubbings. We placed our papers over textured surfaces and objects and used the side of a "naked" crayon (a crayon without paper) to transfer the texture to the paper.

The following week we used our textured papers to create Texture Monsters! We read Jeremy Draws a Monster by Peter McCarty and set off to create our own monsters by cutting and tearing our textured papers. We added googly eyes, yarn, sequins and jewels for even more texture!
